A physician's prescription is mandatory.

CPR/AED Training

Employees using a defibrillator must complete basic emergency care training for cardiac arrest, including AED operation, following standards from the American Heart Association, American National Red Cross, or similar organizations.

EMS Notification

Individuals purchasing AEDs for commercial use in Nevada can register the device with the Health Division by providing the necessary contact information and the defibrillator's placement details.

Maintenance

Defibrillator maintenance and testing must adhere to the manufacturer's guidelines.
