Physician
A physician's prescription is required.
CPR/AED Training
Individuals are required to receive proper training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an AED from organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or another nationally recognized entity, or through a course approved by the Wyoming Department of Health. To stay current, individuals must undergo refresher training every two years.
EMS Notification
Any individual or organization that has an AED must inform a representative from the emergency communications center and the local ambulance service about the presence, location, and type of the AED.
Maintenance
It must be ensured that the defibrillator is maintained and tested in accordance with the manufacturer's operational guidelines.
