CPR Training
At Cardiac Life, we offer in-depth CPR training for BLS and Heartsaver CPR certification. Our courses cover adult, child, and infant Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) using Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). With hands-on practice, students learn and retain the skills required to successfully execute high-quality CPR in real-life situations. We are certified by the American Heart Association as a Training Center able to provide training throughout the United States. We recommend renewing your certification every two years to keep your skills sharp and provide peace of mind in emergency scenarios.

CPR Courses
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR)
For Healthcare Providers
4 Hours Long
The Basic Life Support course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation, and provide early use of an AED. In the instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students will work with the American Health Association’s BLS Certified Instructor to complete skills testing and hands-on practice, and students are required to take a written exam.
Heartsaver (CPR/AED)
CPR
4 Hours Long
American Heart Association certified instructor-led course that teaches adult, child CPR and proper use of an AED; infant CPR; and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is recommended for those with limited or no medical training who need a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Heartsaver (CPR/AED/First Aid)
CPR & First Aid
6 Hours Long
An American Heart Association certified instructor-led course that teaches students critical First Aid skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until the medical service students critical First Aid skills to respond to and manage an emergency until the medical service team arrives. This course is recommended for those with limited or no medical training. Skills covered are First Aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; medical and injury emergencies; and what to do in a Sudden Cardiac Arrest emergency with adult CPR and proper use of an AED. This course is taught with the AHA’s research-proven, practice-while-watching technique, allowing instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide their learning skills.
Heartsaver (First Aid)
First Aid
2-3 Hours Long
An instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes of an SCA incident until the emergency medical services team arrives. Students learn the duties and responsibilities of First Aid rescuers; First Aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. This course is for those with limited or no medical training who need a course completion card in First Aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid
CPR & First Aid
7 Hours Long
A classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest until professional help arrives. This course is ideal for childcare workers, teachers, youth organizations, and others.

The Heartsaver and BLS certification course is designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach American Heart Association instructor-led and online blended CPR training skills courses. Instructor candidates will learn how to effectively use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that their students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, and provide an objective skills performance.
On-Site CPR Training

As an AHA (American Heart Association)-certified training center, we offer CPR at both the BLS (Basic Life Support) level for the healthcare professional and Heartsaver level courses for the lay rescuer. Instructors will teach you how to perform CPR and use an AED. Once a responder is trained, they can react to an emergency situation, including a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), whether or not there is an AED available.
Our goal is to empower you with life-saving skills taught by AHA-certified instructors, and we encourage others nationwide to also become certified. You never know when you may need to save a life.

Blended CPR Course
Part 1
Online Coursework
- Interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference
- A unique student access key is assigned to each student to log-on to the AHA’s CPR online course materials
- When the online CPR course is completed each student downloads the AHA eLearning completion certificate to present to the Skills Instructor
Part 2
In-Person CPR Skills Assessment
- Upon completion of the online course, students are required to schedule the In-Person, Hands-On skills session with our AHA certified instructor
- Contact Cardiac Life’s Training Department to schedule the In-Person, skills assessment session with our instructor
- Once the skills portion of the CPR training is complete students receive their 2-year CPR/AED Certification
