Physician
It is necessary to take into account the suggestions provided by a licensed physician when determining the training, notification, and maintenance criteria of this subsection.
CPR/AED Training
Each person who may need to use the automated external defibrillator must complete training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator use through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or an equivalent nationally recognized CPR and AED course.
EMS Notification
No Current Legislation.
Maintenance
The defibrillator must be maintained and tested in accordance with the manufacturer's operational guidelines.
Notification of Use
Anyone who administers emergency care or treatment to someone in cardiac arrest using an automated external defibrillator must promptly reach out to an appropriate healthcare provider or emergency medical services provider.
