EMS Notification
An individual who owns or leases an AED must inform the department, as well as their regional ambulance service or first responder service, about the presence, location, and type of device in their possession.
Maintenance
The defibrillator must be maintained and tested in accordance with the manufacturer's applicable standards.
Notification of Use
The individual using an AED must ensure that emergency personnel have been called by dialing 911.
