The FR3 Infant/Child Key is for use with the Philips HeartStart FR3 AED. For use when treating an infant or child who is under 55 lbs or 8 years of age. The Philips FR3 is a cost-effective AED to own because there is no needed pediatric pad replacement. The FR3 key lasts for multiple uses, and there’s no need to replace it.
To be indemnified under the Good Samaritan Law, follow manufacturers guidelines. Use AEDSafetrack Program Management to document that your AED is compliant with local and state laws.
How it works:
When the Infant/Child Key is inserted into the AED, the HeartStart FR3 announces Infant/Child Mode and automatically adjusts the defibrillation therapy to a level more appropriate for infants and children. In addition, the FR3 provides instructions for infant/child CPR as part of any configured CPR protocol.
