Become a CPR Instructor By Taking An American Heart Association Instructor Course at Cardiac Life

Do you have a passion for teaching?  Are you an EMT, paramedic or have a nursing background?

Ever wondered how to become a CPR instructor?

Cardiac Life offers CPR instructor training through the American Heart Association (AHA).

The AHA training center requirements to be a CPR/AED instructor:

  • Students must hold a current AHA CPR/AED certification (either HeartSaver or BLS)

  • Complete the 6-8 hour instructor course taught by Cardiac Life

  • Be available to teach at least 1 class per month after fulfilling training requirements

  • Teach two classes while being audited by Cardiac Life faculty and receive high marks*

  • Have own transportation or live in an area that provides reliable public transit*

*These requirements are only for those who Cardiac Life decides to offer contract employment to, whether they have taken an instructor course with Cardiac Life or at another training center. While Cardiac Life routinely offers CPR instructor courses to the public, participation in a course does not guarantee employment with Cardiac Life.

We strive to teach CPR instruction to those who are interested in providing others with CPR training, first aid safety, and the knowledge on how to aid a patient in case of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest emergency.
