Rochester, NY has one of the highest poverty and homelessness rates in the United States. Because of this, every year thousands of children and adults spend Thanksgiving hungry and without a home cooked meal.
This is a sad reality for thousands, and this year Cardiac Life is working to ensure a Happy Thanksgiving for local families. We want to give back to the community, which is why we are participating in the 2016 Small Business Council (SBC) Cares Thanksgiving Appeal.
It's important to always remember what you're grateful for, and this year we're grateful to the Rochester community. This city is an integral part of our company and we want to give back in a big way, our hope is that no one will go hungry this year.
The goal of the SBC is to provide more than 3,000 families with dinner this Thursday. We're helping the SBC reach this number by donating 10 boxes of food to local families.
