Preventative Maintenance and Inspections

Physical and System inspection of your AED(s) at a scheduled date/time (This may be at your location or we may require you to ship the AED to our location) on an annual basis with a written report completed.

Inspections include:

• Physical examination of subscribed AED unit(s):
• Record serial numbers along with an exact location of AEDs
• Use of Manufacturer's software to get programming information and actual battery percentage and battery insert date as available
• Record expiration dates of adult and pediatric electrodes
• Record Battery Energy level as available
• Ensure AED is in proper working condition and in compliance with manufacturer's guidelines
• Perform any software upgrades needed
• Inspection of Rescue Ready Kit
• Replacement of AED supplies when needed, based on the expiration date and/or manufacturer recall. Extra replacement accessory costs are not included and will be invoiced separately.
  
• Evaluation of signage as required by law
• Completed report with Inspection recommendations sent to AED Coordinator
• Loaner AED of equal make/model for an AED that has either:
• Been used in a rescue
• Found to be defective upon inspection/maintenance
• Affected by manufacturer recall
