AED Program Management

The sixth and final step of the Cardiac Life 6-Step Public Access Defibrillation Program is AED Program Management.

There are all sorts of tracking tools available. Using a tracking tool will better assist you in maintaining your AED, [organizing] the expiration dates for your electrodes and batteries, tracking your trained responders and their certification dates.

It’s pretty simple if you only have one AED. You know when you bought it and you know when things are going to expire, or so you think. Hopefully you are still in the job when the expiration dates come around.

AEDSafetrack™ is our pride and joy. There are other tools available on the market, but of course we believe that ours is the best and the most user friendly. This is a glimpse of the dashboard. It makes it very simple regardless of the size of your program. Whether you have 1 AED or you have 400 AEDs, they can all be managed in this program. You can login to check that everything’s being done by the people who are supposed to be doing their jobs. We’re providing that administrative oversight. It will provide you with email notifications to remind you when it’s time to update any items out of warranty, or replace parts. You can also pull reports from AEDSafetrack™.  In addition to all of this, there is a CPR/AED refresher video available for you at all times within the tool.  You can also order products and request quotes, all within AEDSafetrack™.

Again, if you have multiple AEDs that have been purchased at multiple times, those expiration dates are all over the place. Your purchasing people will absolutely love you, if you can provide them a projection of what your costs are going to be, for the next year and beyond. The convenience of alerts and notifications, things of that nature, help us give complete oversight to your program and the reassurance that it is in full compliance, ensuring that we have a successful AED program.
